Very nice tour of the Barranco. Several crossings of the stream required. Offline map helpful, otherwise you won't find the crossings. The Puertito de los Molinos has two bars, but we liked the "Las Bohemians del Amor" a lot better. Given the great location and view, the fairly high prices are reasonable. We chose the way back over the mountain along the road. More comfortable, faster but not so nice!
Today, after landing, we walked a beautiful path along the gorge bed. You cross the stream and zigzag along the bank. Along the way, you'll find small rapids, water-filled pools, and even a spring emerging from a green rock face.
We started walking quite late and didn't make it the entire way through the valley. Ideally, you should start walking no later than 3 hours before sunset so that you can still complete the loop and the valley is not in the shade.
Great tour that took almost 3 hours. You had to cross the water several times (over stones) and clear your way through rubble or undergrowth. Adventure. This is where the black-backed spoonbill nests! Unfortunately we only saw the nests, but a few spoonbills were looking for food in the water. Overall it was a great tour. You should just plan to be back in daylight. 3 hours with breaks and photos...
One of the best hikes on Fuerteventura, it goes through a gorge with a small river that you have to cross over again and again. Since Fuerteventura is otherwise a pretty dry place, it's a real highlight. You need a bit of balance to cross the river. There are lots of animals here.
