Stappitzer Lake

Highlight • Lake

Wonderfully situated lake - rest station for "animal globetrotters" (migratory birds) who will find a great rest station here on their crossing of the Alps.

Schleier Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

Depending on the amount of water, the waterfall barely touches the ground and fans out or it appears to be “blown with the wind”. When the sun is shining, you can usually see a pretty rainbow here.

At 17 stations, the educational trail shows how glaciers, water, and gravity have shaped the landscape. The history of the educational trail dates back at least to …

There is a large car park at Seebachtal - free of charge.

The Ankogelbahn to Hannoverhaus also starts here.

The Seebachtal is easy to walk through, cows and horses roam around here, so read the signs and it's best to stick to them 😜.

Free-roaming animals, low-hanging clouds that sometimes even revealed a glimpse of the snow-capped peaks.
To the left and right, waterfalls thunder into the depths.
At the Schwussner Hut we decided to take a narrow …

The nature trail to the Schwussnerhütte is at exactly the same premium level 😊

Starting point: 🅿️ opposite the "Alpenrose" inn

Today, due to the critical weather conditions, we chose a hike that can easily be completed even in heavy rain 😀.

The Seebach Valley, with the natural gem of Lake Stappitz, is one of the most beautiful high mountain valleys in the Hohe Tauern – a nearly flat valley floor, roaring waterfalls, the …
