This route was planned by komoot.
On the advice of an employee of the National Trust, we did the round to the right. That was indeed perfect. That means that you first walk up via the rock path. That uneven path is much easier to do as you go up. Then you walk across the plateau with beautiful views. There are horses and sheep here. Walking down you have a breathtaking view in front of you. We did the 4.5-5 km. Then it remains fun for the children and the climbing is already challenging. There are streams where you can build dams. That's always fun!
