You will find the hiking joy of this tour in the cultural landscape of the Randen, a plateau-like mountain range. It goes high up to the highest point in the canton of Schaffhausen. You enjoy wonderful views of the Wutachtal, the Black Forest and the Klettgau.
The day hike begins in Schleitheim and leads through the Randental. A literal highlight is the Hagen, which rises to 912 meters and is therefore the highest point on the hike and in the entire canton. But it goes even higher. The Hagenturm is so close to heaven: for an unforgettable hiking moment, you have to climb another 40 meters over 225 steps - as a reward you will be rewarded with a fantastic view far over the Swiss Alpine panorama and into the Black Forest.
Nature lovers can also discover the beauty of the Randen right at their feet. Animals that are threatened or already extinct in the Central Plateau feel at home here. A variety of plants also thrive in the area, including a particularly beautiful species of orchid, the lady's slipper.
