Sneverdale Rigg Rabbit Run — Dalby Forest

Hiking

A pleasant walk with a chance to see deer at the viewpoint, with some steep slopes. You will walk past a 'rabbit type' (which this walk takes its name from), meaning a rabbit trap: these are an important part of Dalby’s history when rabbits were farmed for fur. These 'rabbit types' are, in fact, scheduled monuments in England, spots of historical significance.

Dalby Forest Treetop Adventure Park

Highlight • Rest Area

In this area, treetop rope courses are frequently operated, and even though you yourself might be of the "I-am-better-on-the-ground-thank-you" variety, it's fun to look up into the trees as there are often "treetoppers" up here.

From here, a number of different Dalby Forest walking trails begin, including Dalby Beck Yellow Trail and Sneverdale Rigg Rabbit Run.

Sneverdale Rigg

Highlight • Viewpoint

Rather unexpectedly, on top of Seive Dale (Sneverdale Rigg), the forest opens up to the beautiful and green farmland and pastures - nice, and very pleasant!

Right from the car park, there are terrific views of Seive Dale here. The sight of the trees on top of the ridge is amazing and very picturesque. Also, spot the massive wooden sculpted acorns on the ground at the car park: a sight to behold!
