This route was planned by komoot.
An out and back route from Monte to Pico Alto. We initially got the cable car up to Monte and then hiked up to the summit, the views are beautiful and it was a very quiet levada walk (we saw just two people on the trail!). The Paths are steep in places with a variety of terrain but it's a fairly easy/moderate route. Arriving bavk in Monte you can get the cable car back down or jump on the Toboggans which I highly recommend!
We started in Monte. A very steep climb. Unfortunately, the weather deteriorated shortly before Pico Alto. Thick fog made the rest of the route far too dangerous. So, we returned to Monte.
