A very nice hike on the PR5. Unfortunately, the GPS had a few hiccups, but the path is still recognizable. 😂 Anyone who hikes through Madeira's nature just wonders what doesn't grow here. It's amazing! Nature takes everything here.
A great tour through many giant ferns up to 10 m high. A real jungle tour, even if the first and last 1.5 km are a forest path. But even there there is great vegetation and some beautiful views. I would advise against taking the path that curves back to the outward route from the turning point at a sharp angle to the east of the tour. The path gets worse and worse, impossible to find without GPX, and runs steeply and on smooth, slippery ground close to a steep cliff edge. It is just dangerous and strenuous. The view of the sea is not worth it. This viewpoint can only be reached by taking a detour from the other side, at the risk of one's life.
Today's mountain tour has to be done again in the water because of wind, fog and rain 🎒🥾🍀💚🎒🥾🍀💚🎒 So we drove to Marocos and started from there in a wonderful ☀️ to Portela
Nice hike through the UNESCO World Heritage with exciting vegetation. Unfortunately, there is no place to stop for a break.
The tree ferns are really worth seeing. The path on the forest road is not wrong due to the better view on the way back.
This laurel forest is one of the oldest surviving. World Natural Heritage of UNESCO.
Long tour with lots of forest paths and jeep safaris, quad safaris, buggy safaris...nature doesn't really need them...the recorded elevation profile is correct...the planning (taken from Kompass) has a different profile...???...the flat part of the tour is a beautiful, shady path with no traffic...the signs indicating wheelchair suitability are probably a joke here...
