Hiking
This round trip hike is for all levels. It allows you to discover superb panoramas of Lake Orédon while discovering Lake Cap-de-Long and its impressive dam. The start is on the banks of Orédon.
You leave the lake by crossing its dam by road. A few kilometers further, you take a beautiful and wide track which skirts the Orédon. Bordered by a beautiful forest, the path alternates with some small meadows.
Shortly after crossing a small wooden bridge, the slope rises sharply onto a narrower path. At the cost of large switchbacks, you quickly gain height. When the trees part, the view of Lake Orédon is simply magnificent.
When you leave the forest, you find yourself at the foot of the imposing wall of the Cap-de-Long lake dam. A few moments later, you arrive at a level of its banks. A small café allows you to take a pleasant break in a picturesque setting. Before starting the descent to return to the starting point, take the time to survey the dam. It offers a spectacular view of the valley.
