⛅️🚶🏻♀️🐕 Today we hiked the trails of the Montserrat Natural Park ⛰️, a mountain with surprising rock formations where nature offers a magnificent spectacle 🤩.. We started the hike from Monistrol de Montserrat. After crossing the town, we took the "Cami de l'Àngel" path and climbed up to the first monastery ⛪️, Sant Benet. We had a picnic lunch there and then continued climbing, first on the "Baixada dels Matxos" trail, then on the "Cami dels Degotals." The sky was quite clear, and I was able to enjoy many impressive viewpoints 👀, all the way to the snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees 🏔️🏔️. After a long walk along stony paths between thyme, rosemary and other wild herbs 🌿 we finally arrived at the Santa Maria de Montserrat monastery, the monastery perched high in the mountains, nicknamed “the Catalan Lourdes”.
First 2022 hike! Lovely round with lovely people, nice weather and fresh herbs for the kitchen.
