Erbeskopf Climb - Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park

09:00

109km

1,750m

Gravel riding

On this tour you combine a scenic highlight with a sporty one. Because the path to Erbeskopf, the highest mountain in Rhineland-Palatinate, leads through the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park - a whopping 1,960 meters in altitude!

You can recharge your batteries at the national park gate at Erbeskopf in the Café Hunsrückhaus or in Allenbach in the Restaurant Steuer. There is a cake buffet here on Sundays. But find out about the current opening times before your tour.

You can easily reach the starting point of the tour in Fischbach-Weierbach by train. You can get to Fischbach-Weierbach by car via the federal highways B270 and B41, which connect the town with the motorway network: The nearest motorway connections are the A61, A62 and A6. Please note that there are limited parking options in Fischbach-Weierbach.

Note: In the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park the asphalt is a bit bumpy in sections, so we recommend that you drive the tour in the direction indicated.

Paved Road to Erbeskopf

Highlight • Cycleway

For racing cyclists probably the most beautiful way to the highest point in Rhineland-Palatinate. A narrow strip of asphalt meanders through the dense forest, away from the busy roads.
