This route was planned by komoot.
Nice tour over many stones, narrow paths, roots and bridges. Unfortunately, we also had to walk a bit of asphalt, which is not entirely harmless, which is why we often walked the small unmarked paths below the guardrail, but they were no less dangerous 🙈🙈. Although there wasn't much altitude difference, I was pretty exhausted in the end. A must: dip your big toe in the turquoise water.
Nice hike through the Verzasca valley with a marble run
We were actually supposed to go on a hut tour to Schesaplana these days. But because of the heavy snow, we had to change our booking at short notice and the route took us to Lake Maggiore. On the way there, we made a detour to the Verzasca Valley. Here we walked along the beautiful Verzasca from Brione to the Ponte dei Salte. We walked along the river on wonderful paths. The surrounding mountains were always in view. Fascinating how the Verzasca makes its way through the valley here. We then walked back to the car park on the same route. A successful start to our 'alternative holiday'
Up with the post bus. Then there were wooden balls for 9 francs from the machine and 9 km with great ball stations back towards the valley.
Very nice and easy to walk tour! Only the last section has a couple of high steps, but these are easy to do. Good beginner route with very nice places
Fantastically beautiful (but also very popular) area. In midsummer and on weekends, therefore, less recommended, unless you start very early. If you start from Brione, you can also try out the marble game with the various stations along the way (only works if you walk from Brione towards Lavertezzo, unless you walk twice at the marble stations). Bathing is mainly possible at Lavertezzo, but accordingly the people there cavort on the rocks.
Today we went to Verzasca Valley, if you're already there you have to do it 😁. Day ticket for parking €10, all other parking spaces max. 1 or 3 hours. The normal tour on the Verzasca is really nice and very easy to walk, but too monotonous for me and since we didn't want to take a bus, we added a small curve. But be careful here, the path is difficult to find and not very easy, 100% sure-footedness is a prerequisite. But then it's fun 😃 not only to walk in the valley. Except for the bathing area at the Römerbrücke, there wasn't much going on (today was Thursday)
