Very beautiful belvedere with a view of Bouillon on one side and Botassart (Tombeau du Géant) on the other.

Tombeau du Géant viewpoint

Highlight • Viewpoint

It is one of the most beautiful panoramas of the Belgian Ardennes! According to legend, a giant is buried here who, after losing a battle against the Romans, refused to be taken prisoner and preferred to throw himself into the void rather than die in the arenas of the Colosseum.

Notre-Dame de Clairefontaine abbey or Cordemois abbey is an abbey of Cistercian nuns whose act of foundation dates back to 1845. Very pretty view from the hiking trail on the other side of the Semois. Path without great difficulty but which can be slippery in wet or freezing weather.

June 15, 2025, 🇧🇪 Bouillon - Le Tombeau du Géant - kasteel van Bouillon.

A walk with a few steep differences in height. But there is so much more. I think of the giant's grave with the accompanying legend but also the beautiful view over Bouillon from the belvedere. The castle of Bouillon is also definitely worth it!!!
