Since our accommodation only serves breakfast from 9:00 a.m., it was correspondingly late in the hiking boots. It all started at Praia do Amoreira near Rogil. A picture book beach. It was low tide. Now that we have decided on sections, you inevitably come through the hinterland of the coast or go back the same way. Today we followed one of the public circular routes of the Rota vicentina and this went through the hinterland. A mistake!!! Where there was once a forest, you can now walk through the sun on the popular sand without the magnificent views of the Atlantic. Almost at the end we went through a green valley smelling of blossoms and fennel with an abandoned village. Arriving at the starting point, the beach lay under a dense haze. A small consolation!! that the way back over the cliffs would also have been "hopeless". The rumor about tomorrow's rain persists. We'll see.
