Tried something new today! Bike tour with Bayer-Reisen / Pleystein Day tour from Salzburg / Eugendorf over Mondsee and Wolfgangsee to Bad Ischl on the Salzkammergut cycle path. The distance: Salzburg / Eugendorf - Thalgau - Mondsee - Scharfling - St. Gilgen am Wolfgangsee - Strobl - Wacht - Bad Ischl The route ran on well-developed bike paths and side streets, but some of the bike paths were next to the main road - which was very noisy. The section from Mondsee (from Scharfling) to Wolfgangsee (to Krotensee) had to be covered about 3km on the main road with a gradient of up to 10%, which demanded a lot from the organic bikers. All in all, it was a nice cycling day with the best weather in a nice group. As a tour guide, the boss Julia from Bayer-Reisen brought us safely to our destination and also provided excellent care with her on-board service on the outward and return journey. 👍👌🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️💪💪
Today we started at around 10 a.m. in pretty nice weather (it was raining heavily in the morning) on our 1st stage 🚴♂️from Eugendorf to St. Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut. The entire Salzkammergut cycle path was just fantastic and very easy to drive. The fantastic views of the Mondsee and then of the Wolfgangsee in bright sunshine just awesome. The town of St. Wolfgang is very beautiful and located directly on the lake. On arrival we ate an apple strudel in the white Rössel 😉. Then we'll keep our fingers crossed that the weather will play along on the 2nd stage tomorrow 🚴♀️ like it did today. Tomorrow it's about 35 km from St. Wolfgang am Wolfgansee in the direction of Bad Ischl to the Traunsee.
