Beautiful tour with a mix of gravel through the forest and paved dyke path on which the bike rolls well. A tour that I drive more often. This time I was particularly interested in the Elbe bridge, which is closed to motor vehicles, and the solution for bicycle traffic, which only runs on one side together with pedestrians. Buses stop on both sides, and bicycle parking facilities have also been created. The traffic light only regulates bicycle traffic in such a way that no cyclists are coming the other way. But there are also a lot of people on foot. It's extremely narrow, so drive carefully.
Without my wife's Pedelec, I wouldn't have enjoyed the tour. First there was the steep ups and downs on the Hohe Ufer, which were pretty tough, and then there was a headwind on the way back. But it was really nice. With luggage, I would definitely take the south bank of the Elbe on this 3rd leg.
In the Lauenburg Forest sometimes very steep and sandy! Better stay on the big forest roads !!!
Nice route to drive along the Elbe. On the Geesthacht side, nice bike path through the forest.
Start and finish, “Stover Strand” campsite, From here over the Elbe bridge to Geesthacht, further along the Elbe on easy-to-drive cycle paths, first on the road, then in the forest to Lauenburg. On the other side, on asphalt cycle paths mostly directly along the Elbe to the starting point. Tip: Easy ride with lots of variety. Mostly views of the Elbe. Driving on roads is limited. Definitely drive it.
Nice bike ride, especially on the right bank of the Elbe, but in Lauenburg the bike path on the Elbe was still flooded, and on the left side of the river there was quite a lot of water up to the dike. And it's cold today - now let's thaw your feet!
A beautiful tour along the Elbe, partly through the mountains, where you sometimes have to dismount. It is probably not suitable for inexperienced people through the forest over tree roots. Those who dare will be rewarded with a good panorama here and there.
