In St. Martin it starts at the parking lot behind the fire station. From here you walk into the center of the village and then leave the town towards the southwest. Soon you will reach the pilgrimage route, which runs along the Floderbach.
You hike uphill through wild, romantic forests…

Hike from the St. Martin fire station car park near Lofer (B is also the starting point of the tour) along the Tiroler Steig up to the Maria Kirchental pilgrimage church and along the pilgrim path past a chapel back to the starting point in St. Martin. There is the option of stopping off at the Maria Kirchental inn. There are clean, public, free toilets at the fire station in St. Martin. Easy tour.
Hiking days with 8 hiking friends in Maria Alm. On our way to Maria Alm we went on a short hike to stretch our legs. The destination was the Maria Kirchental pilgrimage church, the Pinzgau Cathedral, which we hiked to on a beautiful circular route from St. Martin near Lofer. Hopefully St. Peter will be kind to us and we can reach a few more summits in the next few days.
