This route was planned by komoot.
By train to Radolfzell, change there and take the Black Forest Railway to Triberg. Then by bus to the market square in Triberg. From there we walked around the Prisental and through beautiful moss-covered forests. Great hiking weather with a pleasant 24 - 25° C.
My first hike of 2026 in the Prisental valley. A very beautiful hike with stunning views at every turn. It was quite windy; you could definitely feel the change in the weather. It felt even colder than it actually was. I can easily imagine doing this hike in the summer as well. The area near the Triberg Waterfall was, of course, the busiest. 🤗 Wishing everyone a Happy New Year 2026, especially good health and many more wonderful hikes! 🍀😊🍀
I chose the tour because of the waterfall. The route itself was very varied. There were three small chapels along the way, which I personally really enjoy looking at. The closer I got to the waterfall, the more people there were. At some point a sign warns you that this path is not a through path to the waterfall. But I trusted Komoot and took this path despite the warning. Luckily for me. On the public path there were people everywhere who had paid the entrance fee to see the waterfall. One look through the trees was enough for me and, to be honest, I could have done without this part of the route. The information boards along the entire path are very commendable. I found the remaining house of a farm dating back to 1720 and a 230-year-old fir tree very impressive.
A very nice hike on pleasant paths and narrow paths. I can only recommend this tour.
Today we hiked in the Prisental Valley. It was a beautiful spring hike, offering breathtaking views at every turn. We also visited an old bobsleigh run near Triberg. The natural ice bobsleigh run was built around 1910 and operated until the mid-1950s. The hiking trail follows the track, and you can still see the banked curves.
This hike has jomi stars **** 3.7 Ways ***** Landscape ***** Highlights *** Silence ***** Rest options ** Explanation boards *** Fun factor kids *** If you want to go on a beautiful hike in nature - without a big spectacle - this is the right place. And always a small chapel along the way.
Fantastic tour - High Black Forest at its finest 👍🤩
Very beautiful and varied circular hike near Triberg.
