Hiking

The “Auerhahnweg” in the Tennenbronn district of Schramberg takes you over ten kilometers through beautiful forests and over idyllic meadow paths in the central Black Forest.

There was still a large capercaillie population here at the beginning of the 20th century. Installations and information bring hikers closer to the life of these special animals.

Refreshment Stop Auerhahnweg

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Nice hut with table and benches, has been there for almost a year. The place for the hut is ideally close to the concession stand. From time to time the "MV Harmonie Tennenbronn" gives their best at a music rehearsal.

August 13, 2023, Auerhahnweg (Schwarzwälder Genießerpfad in Schramberg)

On the last day of vacation, a round of greetings around our vacation spot.

Beautiful premium tour 🤩 For the most part it goes along soft forest floors and sunny meadows with great views. There are some lovely highlights along the way

Nice path, but towards the end it was tiring due to the inclines.

A beautiful leisurely trail near Tennenbronn, not very busy even on weekends, despite the beautiful trails and lovely views. There's also a lot to learn about the capercaillie. The start and finish were at the Remsbach hiking car park.

Today I walked the beautiful Auerhahnweg in Tennenbronn again and enjoyed a bit of winter scenery

Start at the Tennenbronn holiday park. Since I didn't want a long climb in the end, I hiked against the recommended direction and I have to say it was a good decision. Most of the serpentines from the valley road up to the capercaillie nest were so overgrown and difficult to walk on that I was glad not to have to go downhill. It's actually a shame for a premium hiking trail. Otherwise you get varied, mostly natural paths under your feet, most of which lead through forest, over sticks, stones, roots and a lot of mud, but also beautiful meadow paths along cattle pastures, on which the cows sometimes even wear bells ... wonderful, this bell! In some places there are wonderful views over the plateau to the surrounding heights and to some farms and villages. All in all, a nice and recommendable round.

Very nice, varied tour through beautiful forests and idyllic meadows, streams, distant views and beautiful rest areas. Natural paths, no climbs but very beautiful paths and meadows and forest.

Very nice tour with beautiful views and varied paths. And we saw the first hiking trail toilet. Great idea. 😂 The start/finish was the Remsbach hiking car park. Google Maps led us there well.
