A magnificent classic – this tour combines stunning panoramas, shady climbs, and exhilarating descents. If you enjoy uphill biking while enjoying the scenery, you'll get your money's worth here – there's almost nothing flat on this tour.
You start in Settecave and initially follow the Etschtal cycle path through apple orchards and meadows. Then you turn onto a quieter section that leads through tunnels and forests towards Gand – wonderfully cool on hot days. The climb to the Mendola Pass is long, but pleasantly rideable thanks to the consistent gradient – and fantastic views of the Dolomites await you not only at the top, but along the entire route.
The route continues into Trentino and back over the comfortable Gampen Pass to South Tyrol. From there, you'll race long and fast down into the valley, with sweeping views of Merano. To give your hands a rest, you can enjoy a coffee in the charming village of Tisens, which boasts a panoramic view of the castles, before cycling back to Settequerce with a few meters of elevation gain.
Our tip for a special experience: The annual car-free cycling day in September at the Mendel Pass. You can find information online.

After yesterday's "Ronda" it should be quieter again today and so the "Passo Mandola" ➕ "Passo Palade" called, but today's highlight of the day should lie in between, which the 🐷capitano Robert Petzold (Petz Racing) recommended to us ➡️ "Monte Penegal” (1727m)
