In light rain we walk along the salamander path. Salamander - none. Far too dry, the forest is bone dry, it should definitely rain for 3 days. Unfortunately, many spruce trees are also dying here, the paths are littered with green needles... The town ofleuteberg is very pretty, the houses are traditionally covered with slate, and there is also a swimming pool.
Today we went on the Leutenberg Kids Tour "On the Trail of the Fire Salamander." A nature trail for all ages, easily walkable paths with lots of learning opportunities... in a beautiful landscape. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍
"...From the market square, via the market steps, you walk along the nature trail with its many information panels on the Schloßberg hill to the Friedensburg parking lot. From there, a forest path leads to a colorful pavilion with a fairytale book. The path leads past several play stations to the Hirschbach stream and on to the Nature Park House. Discover 'Nature Park Worlds,' playgrounds, a treasure chest, and the interactive exhibition on dippers and fire salamanders in the Nature Park House. An extensive mineral collection and a terrarium with fire salamanders are the highlights here...!" (Source: www.touringen.de)
The people's mountain children's path has some nice stations for children and imparts a lot of knowledge about nature. The paths are mostly paths through the forest, so there is mostly shade and the path doesn't get boring. Not suitable for prams at all. Easy to do with a backpack or stretcher. Benches and picnic areas are available. Or you can stop off at the “Kaffee am Markt” in people's mountain for an ice cream.
Seventh and last stop on our journey to the east: the Thuringian Forest in the wonderful Saale valley. 🌲💦🏰 Today on foot in the historic town ofleuteberg, which has a great children's hiking trail high above the Sormitz river. Here you can learn everything about the fire salamander on narrow, steep forest paths, which you can watch live at the end in the small but nice nature park house. 🌿🌈🌳 End with the obligatory swimming pool ice cream: Saalfeld outdoor pool, which even has a diving platform with 10 people! ⭐️👍🏼
Collected 3 stamps today on a short but very beautiful hike. The Peace Castle should not be ignored, even if it is not public. At least you can get to the castle courtyard. And it is very worth seeing. The nature park center was closed. Attention, the order of the photos does not match the tour. Otherwise the tour is very undemanding. Beautiful forest paths let you drift along.
Salamander circular path near Leutenberg Thuringia. Collected 3 stamps again.
