Hiking
The Bremer Hut is at the very back of the Gschnitztal. The climb is beautiful and takes you through varied landscapes.
First you hike on wide paths and easy trails towards the end of the valley. Then you switch to a steep path that takes you past a waterfall up to the picturesque Simmingalm. There you hike over a beautiful plateau and past the Simmingsee before it goes steeply uphill again to the Bremer Hut, which is beautifully situated on a small lake.
Now do you fancy a little adventure? Then you can descend to the Lauterersee via a chimney. This is secured with ropes and provided with footholds. It goes down vertically, so to speak. You have to be absolutely sure-footed and have a head for heights. From the Lauterersee you can climb back up to the Bremer Hut in one go or descend into the valley.
