Pfannenstiel trail circuit (MT handbike)

Great trails, a lot of elevation gain and a spectacular view from the Pfannenstiel await you on this round trip. The tour, which mainly runs along gravel paths, is recommended by a local handbike enthusiast.

It starts at the “Im Chreis” ice rink in Dübendorf, which has plenty of parking spaces and a barrier-free toilet. From here you ride on gravel roads through the forest up to the Ötlisberg. In furrowed terrain you then reach the Pfannenstiel via the Forch. The view over the Greifensee and the Zurich Oberland is always enchanting.

After you have enjoyed the panorama from the Pfannenstiel and perhaps a little refreshment in the restaurant, you set off on the way back. It begins with a rapid descent and after a short climb the route takes you down to the Greifensee.

From here you ride directly along the Greifensee into the nature reserve at the outflow of the Glatt before you return to the starting point of the route. On nice days and at weekends there are a lot of pedestrians on Lake Greifensee, so please be considerate.
