Not only Rutor waterfalls and the Sesquicentennial path, but also Lac du Glacier, Seracchi lake and Deffeyes refuge for this Rutor Grand Tour, taking advantage of the network of paths (mainly number 3 and number 19) of the nearby ancient summer pasture of La Joux, where you can leave your car or walk from the center of La Thuile.
Get onto the Sesquicentennial path and go up casting your gaze towards the three jumps that the Dora del Rutor makes from this wall: the Rutor waterfalls are an unmissable spectacle, especially in the summer.
At the height of the third waterfall and the wooden bridge, a rather steep segment begins following the Dora del Rutor backwards up to the majestic Seracchi lake, at the foot of the Rutor glacier. After a well-deserved stop you can continue on level ground towards the Lower Rutor lake and the Deffeyes refuge, from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the valley. The return takes place by closing the ring on the orographic side opposite to that of the ascent.

One of the most beautiful tours I've ever done. We managed to complete it with my 9-year-old daughter and our dog. The only drawback is that there are no drinking fountains up to the refuge. For the dog, however, there are plenty of small streams.
Beautiful excursion. The three waterfalls are spectacular and once you reach the Albert Deffeyes Hut you are faced with the massive Rutor glacier. Too bad that Komoot at some point decided not to work anymore 😔😔
