This route is based on the MTB World Cup route and can only be completed in its original form with a full-suspension MTB. It goes down over the Bachlertrail. But you can also take the alternative goods route ... or, as we did then, ski down the new Maiskogel Trail. It is designed as a family and beginner's trail and with its gentle steep curves of fine gravel it is also ideal for gravel bikers. So don't miss it. You can also see the trail in the video below to get your own picture. As for the tour itself, I'm a little divided. It's relatively easy and it was fun to drive through the clouds and enjoy the panorama. But it wasn't particularly varied and you arrive at the highest point right at the mountain station of the Maiskogel gondola. So it is tempting to skip this ascent and continue from there to the Kitzsteinhorn - or just do the trail descents. The former is definitely on the agenda for me next time. Ok, ok also the trail runs. PS: If you have the Kaprun Summer Card, you can use the gondola lifts as often as you like and, of course, take your bike with you. You can find more photos and the description of all other tours in Kaprun and Zell am See, including videos, here https://graveldeluxe.com/gravel-routen/intensive-gravel-touren-kaprun-und-zell-am-see
Very nice tour, but we had to take several detours due to repairs after a landslide. But that wasn't a problem. Everyone here is extremely nice and friendly
Super 10 km partly steep uphill and wonderful views
