Hiking
This hike via the Purtschellerhaus to the Hoher Göll is an extremely demanding mountain tour, but it is definitely worth it! And if the ten kilometers and 1,180 meters of altitude are not enough for you, you can combine the tour with crossing the Göll massif including the Hoher Brett. From the starting point, you first hike to the Eckersattel. Then you have two options for the ascent to the Purtschellerhaus: either you follow the route indicated here over steep steps on the Bavarian side or you choose the gentle option over serpentines on the Austrian side. Once you have arrived at the Purtschellerhaus, you continue over the grassy ridge of the Eckerfirst. Leading steadily uphill, the path now turns into stepped and partly secured rock passages. The Schustersteig, which is sometimes exposed, takes you from here to the so-called Göllleiten and then up a wide ridge to the summit of the Hoher Göll.

Very nice hike with climbing. I had my via ferrata set with me to be on the safe side. Depending on which way you go (via chimney or Schustersteig) you should have it with you.
