Today we did our first tour in Fryslan. We started in Aldevoren and followed the Zuiderzeeroute towards Stavoren. With the Ijsselmeer almost always in view, we took many beautiful paths to our destination, the port of Stavoren. We continued to Wolkwerum, from there we followed the canals De Grünzen and the Jan Broerskanaal to the lake De Moare. From here over land to the starting point. A really beautiful tour with many good impressions.
After the rain in the morning, start for a small round trip from Stavoren through Friesland. Past the Red Cliff with the monument to the victory of the Frisians over the Dutch in the 14th century. It only helped for a short time. Now everyone is Dutch. After all, the Frisians have received the right to their own language. Continue through the lake landscape to pretty Hindeloopen and along the dam back to Staroven. A surprising number of cyclists are out and about here with a tent.
Because our ship could not leave the harbor, we repeated part of yesterday's tour in the opposite direction. 🧐🫣🤫 Unfortunately, the planned tour from Enkhuizen will not take place.
Despite strong 🌬️ gusts 😯 a beautiful 🚲 tour 😄 ... oh yes 😊 ... this area is fantastic 😍 ... we really liked the town of Stavoren 🤩 ... pretty, small, authentic and manageable town 🏠🏫 🫠 ... right on the Oude Haven of the IJsselmeer 🌊⛵🛳️ there is a wonderful café ☕🍰 with a restaurant 🍽️🍷🍹🍺 ... we will try it out 😋 ... our 🚴🚴♀️ tour was top-notch 💥💥💥💥💥
