Schoenenbach in summer
The mountain pasture settlement of Schönenbach can be reached on several hiking trails. Starting points for longer hikes are Bezau, Bizau, Sibratsgfäll and Egg-Schetteregg. The valley floor can be explored on a leisurely circular hiking trail. A very scenic, not too demanding mountain bike tour leads from Sibratsgfäll to Schönenbach. It takes about two hours there and back. Schönenbach is also a destination for those who are interested in caves. Near the mountain pasture settlement is the "Schneckenlochhöhle", which is only accessible with guided tours.
Tip: In the summer months, a bus runs several times a day from Bezau and Bizau to Schönenbach. Holders of the Bregenzerwald & Großes Walsertal guest card can use the bus free of charge. The settlement can also be reached by car on the toll road from Bizau.
