This tour offers you magnificent views of the Cece peak (the highest peak in Lagorai) and the Dolomites of Val di Fassa.
The starting point is the car park near the Valmaggiore mountain hut. After leaving the car, immediately take the forest road 339 which climbs steeply towards Lake Moregna. The road is a former mule track which shortly after the Malga turns into a path. You walk in the cool shade of the forest and then emerge where the vegetation thins out and the grazing begins.
Shortly after finishing the uphill stretch, you see the Moregna hut and the lake of the same name. Continue on the stony path 349 which circumnavigates the Moregna peak and leads you to the fork where the slopes become significant. Once over the pass, you glide onto the shores of Lago Brutto.
After a few hundred meters you reach the last lake of the route: the Trout lake. You can enjoy a well-deserved stop at the picturesque basin that houses the clear water basin while admiring the imposing peaks of Lagorai.
To return to the starting point, continue on the Moregna and Coldosè path which takes you to the pasture from which you can take the outward route.
