You'll find underpasses for many major streets, allowing for uninterrupted riding.
Yes, the paved multi-use paths of the Leon Creek Greenway are generally considered easy and family-friendly, making them suitable for beginners. For those looking for more challenge, the unpaved mountain bike trails range from beginner to intermediate difficulty.

Linda's Comments: "On September 5th Linda led a ride with John M and Rod. We started at O P Scnabel Park. We rode the Maverick Creek and Huesta Creek greenway trails as well as some surface streets in the UTSA/Valero area. Rod led for some wifferdils in local neighborhoods on the way back to O.P. Scnabel for the long break. We continued the ride with visit our old friend Nanny Falcon, who seemed almost ready to join us today. (See photos.) We continued the ride on the French Creek trail and a turned around at Grissom to head back to our starting point. There were no incidents. Hope Dennis is continuing progress in his recovery. Fred, let us know if you are doing OK."
