A great tour in perfect hiking weather for two mothers on Father's Day.
This Saturday we were on the Dreifürstensteig near Mössingen. It started at the Olgahöhe hiking car park, initially through orchards, a section of forest and some juniper heather to the rocking sun lounger with a panoramic view of the Alb over Talheim. A little further on, the Mössing Rockslide, which is quite impressive for a nightmare, has already been reached. First we looked at each other and the demolition from below and then took the zig-zig path up over the edge of the slope. Here at the deer head a little rest with a view. A beautiful path leads over to the viewpoint on the Dreifürstenstein. The descent through the forest begins immediately there until you finally reach the orchards again. A last small ascent leads back up to the Olgahöhe. Linger a bit here on a sunny meadow slope and take away what may be the last warm rays of sunshine of the year. Most of the paths are unpaved and varied with beautiful paths and meadows. Easy to walk with a little surefootedness. Weather around 20 ° C, sometimes jacket, sometimes T-shirt depending on the wind and shade. All in all, of course, it was another super pleasant, almost summery day.
Unfortunately made the tour too late. A great tour at the time of flowering, as you walk through a meadow orchard at the beginning. At the end of the tour you walk through a huge meadow orchard. These have been maintained by a company for some time.
Really nice hike; varied and peppered with beautiful views!
A very beautiful tour. Initially, the trail leads along grassy paths past orchards. After 2.5 km, the narrow forest path begins to climb on rocky paths. There are some great viewpoints. The ridge walk along the steep slope and the edge of the cliff is particularly beautiful. And it's all on a narrow, rooty path. The descent continues in the same way. At the end, there are forest paths, meadow paths, and finally, the panoramic path through the orchard meadows. The highlight of the entire trail is truly the middle section.
On the Dreifürstensteig last Saturday in high summer temperatures.
A very nice tour on pleasant paths at the beginning. However, after the descent at the rockfall, it becomes very road-heavy without any major highlights. You can definitely walk it once, but if you walk back towards the Olga Cave after the descent, you don't really miss much. You can walk it in clear weather for the view from the summit, but the tour doesn't need to be repeated so quickly...
Ascent to the Hirschkopf and descent from the Dreifürstenstein was borderline today, unfortunately there was no more snow on the paths but only ice. But the view from the Dreifürstenstein is unbelievable, 1 with ***... Highly recommended...

After the tour, you can visit the orchard experience center. It is located on Löwensteinplatz in the Mössing Pausa district. Visiting the interactive exhibition is free of charge and right next to it is the iconic Café Pausa with outdoor catering in the warm season.
