Yesterday we just went for a walk and a swim and did the usual things. Today we're going for a hike above the incredibly beautiful mountain lake. We're starting at 8:30 a.m. 🌞 We puff our way up steep but beautiful paths and enjoy the fact that we're mostly in the shade. Once at the top, we walk along the ridge, often in the shade here too, and enjoy the magnificent views over the lake. Today it's 34 degrees again. 🥵 We had about a dozen encounters, not many on Sunday. The lake is busier. We could have easily fit in a swim on the way back. We didn't bring anything with us; we didn't want to leave our backpacks with cell phones, car keys, wallets, etc. on the busy beach. We'll do that later. 🏊♂️🏊 We really enjoyed this scenic loop and can definitely recommend it for a follow-up hike. We'll stay until tomorrow, vG 🍀🙋♀️🙋♂️
