So, finally vacation again 🤗. Unfortunately, the weather is putting a little damper on my plans 🙄. For the next few days, my app is threatening thunderstorms and storms, ... for today from 12 p.m. Actually, the high Aifnerspitze was the goal. So I set the start at 6 a.m. and planned a 3-hour climb and then a 3-hour descent. Unfortunately I didn't make it to the top in 3 hours. But it was still great and impressive as always. With this in mind, to all non-vacationers😝😉 have a nice start into the Pentecost weekend.🙋♂️
Perfect hiking weather again today. 🙂 We drive to the Aifner Alm and begin the ascent to the Aifnerspitzen. The path initially leads across pastureland and through the Swiss pine forest, gently ascending to a broad ridge, the Schweinleger. The Kleine Aifnerspitze is easily accessible via the well-marked trail. The view is already stunning. Now follows a nearly flat stretch of the path before the significantly steeper final ascent over the rocky slope begins. The trail is still very well marked. And then we reach the large summit cross and repeatedly gaze out at the seemingly endless mountain world. The descent follows the ascent route, although I would have liked to take an alternative. But there was no path in sight... Back at the alpine pasture, we stop for a break and take half a wheel of fresh alpine cheese with us. A poem.
