Here is the video of the Vogelbergsteig hike near Dürnstein. https://youtu.be/Ri6hxW8r6P8
A very popular and beautiful little circular hike. The rocky path through the oak forest from the ruins to the Fesslhütte and the Vogelbergsteig trail are like something out of a fantasy film. Incredibly beautiful! Almost exactly a year ago, my route took me past this area on the first two stages of the World Heritage Trail. (https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/1612121700) At that time, it was pouring with rain at times, and from the Starhembergwarte, you couldn't see more than 20 meters. For this reason, I skipped the Dürnsteiner Kanzel and planned to do it again when the weather was better. Today, the time had finally come. Even though the weather initially seemed better, at least I was able to enjoy the view from the Dürnsteiner Kanzel a little. Unfortunately, the lookout was closed off today.
A very beautiful, but also very strenuous tour. Requires excellent footing and good physical fitness. Not recommended in wet conditions.

Vogelbergsteig with Nase, Kanzel, and Dürnstein ruins. Amazing weather for this amazing tour ☺️
Today ended the hike that I broke off in March🙈😁
Always beautiful. Today it was 520 meters according to Garmin
Monika and I ended up in the Wachau today. Since the weather forecast isn't consistent and our tour isn't that long, that was the best decision. The view was great, in the morning it was already very autumnal. In the Fesslhütte we were able to warm up and eat well. For the evening there was a delicious menu that showed up on the way. Our starting point was previously not subject to a fee, now there is also a fee. But it's for a good cause...
