Relaxed journey by train to Reutte station! Then relaxed cycling uphill! More or less directly on the Lech, always beautiful views of the unbelievably wide valley in the lower part, left to the river. The incline is barely noticeable!? Almost no car traffic on the cycle path! If you prefer it even more relaxed, you can take the bus from Reutte (bike in the bike rack behind the bus!) to Steeg and cycle back... Lots of mountain views in the upper part of the path! Should you take your hiking boots next time 🤔?
One of the most beautiful bike rides we've done so far. The trails are off-road and consistently in very good condition. There are even benches for resting on the banks of the Lech River. Only the bike transport from Reutte to Steeg could be significantly improved. Aside from the almost one-and-a-half-hour journey, loading the bikes yourself requires two people. The trailer's design is far from standard bicycle transport options.
Today the tour went from Steg back to Reutte, this time on the officially signposted cycle path, which was mostly paved. I have to say it was fantastically beautiful and it doesn't bother you at all that you look towards the valley. It was the nicer route for the bike, although there were more cyclists on the road, but it still felt like there weren't many. Lots of nature and lots of places to stop and rest. And the best thing was that it was mostly downhill, so you could look more to the left and right of the landscape and cycle at the same time. And the green/blue Lech was always on the side.
For all cyclists who want to enjoy the day in a beautiful landscape. Take the post bus from Reutte in Tyrol at 9 a.m. to Steg and from there back along the Lech. Fantastic tour, not difficult, but varied.👍👍👍 and very good places to stop for refreshments everywhere 🍻🍽️🧀🍳 It's worth it. The sporty ones can do the tour without the bus, it's also doable, with or without an overnight stay in the valley.
For us, that was the most beautiful section of the Lech cycle path. Very nice paths, long through shady forests and beautiful meadow landscapes. The path is very well signposted and is a lot of fun.
My absolute favorite the Lech. I have already walked many parts of the hiking trail and today I took the bike path to Ehenbichel. What can I say ... Absolutely well signposted, hiking and cycling trails are often separate so that you don't get into the enclosure, the underground is always suitable for cycling. Many opportunities to take a break in the villages (I was in Elmen👍👍 during the Lech period) or along the way. Always the opportunity to put your feet in the Lech. The whole thing with ☀️☀️☀️☀️ with small, very decorative ☁️. Absolute dream today. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤️💝🤗
Today we went first with the 🚘 to Reutte. From there, take the cyclist bus to the Lechtal, past Häselgehr, Stockach, Holzgau to Steeg🤩. The Lech cycle path is very well signposted and mostly paved, only a few gravel paths, very nice to ride. Another highlight was the suspension bridge over the Lech👍, which sways a bit when you walk it, but it doesn't matter......close your eyes and keep going🙈🤣😂
Beautiful bike path, very well marked, beautiful landscape you can stop everywhere. The bike bus departs from Reutte.
