🇨🇭🇮🇹The tour is strict🥵but brilliant🏆I have never driven so many single trails. In the morning there was still hoar frost. The ascent into Val da Fain is rather gentle, past a large colony of marmots. After the La Stretta pass came the S4 Trail 🥵 which my buddy rode completely to within a few meters! 🏆 (He's crazy) The single trail to Pian dei Morti is super cool and long. 🤗 The ascent to the Chaschauna pass is very tough ... even with an e-bike 2694m. From there there is a flow trail down that has been rebuilt down to the mountain stream. The rest is just enjoyable trails almost to Punt Muragl.
Mega awesome tour 👍🤗☀️ Started from Silvaplana at about 09:00 and pretty much alone, except for a few squirrels on the way through the Stazer forest to Pontresina. That's where the official start of the tour will be. At km 12 the first change of plan and the valley side changed. Absolutely recommendable, a wonderful flow trail through the forest that just puts a smile on your face with the e-bike. Later you cross the pass road and turn into the Val da Fain and drive gently uphill, first on a gravel road and then on an easy-to-ride single trail to the transition down to the main road to Livigno. This is the only section of the whole tour that forces you to get off your bike and push it down🤔 Too steep and too dangerous to drive everything. We saw some bikers taking the S3 trail to the pass crossing and it seems that this section is easier to ride. The way to Livigno is then again blessed with a lot of flow and Livigno is reached much too quickly that by our standards it is far too crowded. It's unbelievable how many people are out there, whether on foot or on their bikes, and we're glad when we left this crowd of people behind us. As soon as the entrance to the Valle di Federia is reached, we are alone again and the steep ascent is exhausting enough even with motor support. Arriving at the Chaschauna pass at 2690 meters, the panorama is overwhelming and we marvel at the view. The descent to Alp Chuschauna is a never-ending single trail that has it all. From the alp, which is managed, follows a gravel road, but not for long and the next brilliant trails let flow come up again. We quickly change the route again to take the trails to Zuoz with us. We have a total battery capacity of 2100 Wh and unfortunately that is not enough for the return trip to Silvaplana and that is why we are grateful for the opportunity to take the train to St.Moritz and from there take the shortest.. way back to Silvaplana via the main road drive. Shortly before eight o'clock we arrived at the Hotel Conrad and that we can recommend without ifs and buts. Rarely have we been spoiled in such a courteous and friendly manner from A to Z.
Livigno Day 6 Mostly pushing – only the guide manages to ride – we climb the Chachauna Pass ("Look, look, Shoshone!") at 2,894 m. A steep, serpentine trail into the unspoiled valley on the Swiss side. In the Engadin, a few kilometers along the beautiful Inn Cycle Path. Past Pontresina, with a view of the Morteratsch Glacier, we climb the challenging trail to the Bernina Pass. The Rhaetian Railway's Bernina Express chugs past us a few times. After a short descent, we climb back up to the Forcola Livigno and then make the final descent back down to Livigno. What a brilliant end to a fantastic week! 🤩😍
Today was the highlight: a trail fireworks display followed by sensational views, all in perfect weather, of course. I'm really proud of my wife for doing such tours with me. Oh yes, the batteries were squeezed to the last drop.
