A nice little circular walk. The elevation is not too steep and there is a lot to see. Lots of beautiful viewpoints over the lake. Our youngest just turned four and had no problems here.
The tour in the afternoon led me to the rear part of the Edersee to Scheidt .. from here over beautifully over the heights up with a wonderful view of the lake and partly back over beautiful narrow paths of the Urwaldsteig .. Top and very recommendable 😊
Our starting point for this beautiful circular hike was the Edersee-Alm motorhome parking area. The first part of the hike follows the Kahle-Hardt route and then at the turning point you hike back on the Urwaldsteig. A small section of the jungle trail is very close to nature and secured at one point with a rope. You can easily walk around this section by first following a section of asphalt path (direction of Fürstental campsite) until you reach the Urwaldsteig again in a curve. From here the Urwaldsteig is much easier to walk again.
After visiting the Edersee wildlife park and the Edersee barrier wall, a hike from the Scheid peninsula through the Kahle Hardt was on the program. A beautiful circular route along the steep face with breathtaking views of the lake.
A nice tour. However, the first 3 km are only uphill. Sturdy shoes are recommended.
