We stopped at the Stoffelalm. They brew their own excellent beer, the food is really good, and the young waitresses are very friendly. 👍👍
Back at the Wilder Kaiser ☺️... 1st tour today went back from the Hintersteiner See to the Walleralm and around the lake. On the way up it was cloudy and dry and on the way back we had drizzle or rain 🌧☔️. But there is no such thing as bad weather 😉 On the Walleralm we took 2 of the 3 places to stop for refreshments. First the Walleralm, then to the summit of the Kreuzbichl and on the way down to the Kafma Alm. There was great homemade juice here. We tried lemon balm juice and herbal juice as a spritzer. Very tasty and highly recommended. But there was also the obligatory cyclist 🙃😊🍺. Great recommended tour with some places to stop.
Today we hiked from Lake Hintersteiner to the Walleralm, accompanied by steady rain. The view of Lake Hintersteiner was once again beautiful: the water was completely still, reflecting the surrounding mountains in the lake. We arrived at the Walleralm in the rain and decided to stop at the Stöfflhütte, as it offered outdoor seating under a roof – a rustic hut. The service was very friendly, and the food was simply delicious. On the way back, the sun even came out occasionally. All in all, a great hike!
From the Seestüberl through the forest and over the Alm to the Kreuzbichl. From there it is only a short distance to the Walleralm. Then back via the Adlerweg to the lake and on the south side of the lake again to the Seestüberl. This is easy to reach with the hiking bus from Scheffau.
Very nice tour. We didn't have time to go swimming anymore. 😢 (We had to make the bus.)
Hike Hintersteinersee, start at the outdoor pool car park at Hintersteinersee, towards Walleralm. Beautiful hiking trails with views of the lake. Made a small EKS with cold drinks at the Walleralm. Then to Kreuzbichl (summit cross) 1200m. Then descended back into the valley to the Hintersteinersee. Hiked back to the parking lot along the shore.
Hike from the idyllic Hintersee lake to the Walleralm pasture with the Kreuzbichel peak. Even the starting point is inspiring, as the lake is known to many as the filming location for "The Mountain Doctor." From the summit of Kreuzbichel, a stunning panoramic view of the Tyrolean mountains offered itself. The hikers' bus took them from Going to Scheffau.
For pedestrians we recommend the free one Hiking bus to the Hintersteiner See, for drivers there are paid parking spaces at the east & West bank. The hike starts at the restaurant Seestüberl, where you take the path no. 45a through the Follow the forest to the Walleralm. Can do the whole thing With a short detour to the summit cross Round off to 1,199 m. You hike down the path no. 45 to the Maier snack bar. Follow the forest path along the south bank, where you can find some fish right by the crystal clear water watch until you are back at the starting point arrived at the Seestüberl.
