This route was planned by komoot.
Today, because of the forecast of persistent rain, we went for a gentle hike around the Rittisberg starting at midday. It was family-friendly and accessible with a stroller. Of course, it didn't rain 🤠. We had everything with us 😅. But it's better this way than the other way around. And so the Sonnenalm 🌞 lived up to its name. The host is very funny, can sing, and entertains young and old 👍.
You don't have to do the back and forth for the first few kilometers, I just forgot something in the car 😉
A beautiful, leisurely alpine tour with a view of the Dachstein massif and Planai, Hochwurzen and Co.
I did the Rittisberg circuit today. Much of the route went through the forest, but also in the blazing sun. My destination was the Halseralm. A truly rustic alpine pasture, without electricity. Animals roam freely. 🐖🐓🐔🦆🦢Still cozy, even though there were lots of guests. You can even go into the kitchen. I had previously passed the Sonnenalm, where everything was so loud (music, etc.), not my thing. Even though some people might not like it, I really don't need the constant bombardment of screaming children. I started at the free hiking parking lot, then passed the various alpine pastures. But in the 30-degree heat, it was enough for me. 🥵🙈🥾🔥🚶♀️🌞🌞🌞 In the first picture, you can see my guesthouse in the middle. It's now my regular guesthouse. 👍 My bread was topped with Steirerkas cheese. It was better than it looked.😅
The Rittisberg circuit is extremely relaxed. In the direction we have chosen, you can reach the Halseralm and the Sonnenalm very early on and have not done much yet. That's why we hiked to the Ochsenalm before we deserved a break. Here and also at the Sonnenalm we have seen many opportunities to keep children busy. The hike runs mainly on wide forest roads. It's a bit confusing at Ramsau Beach and the amusement park and the many people don't really suit the leisurely hike.
The loop from KM 11 was stupid. Just go straight on. 😉
Another beautiful hike today! Rittisberg south side: in a T-shirt Rittisberg north side: with a winter jacket and gloves Best highlight ever: the Styrian ones that I was able to borrow from the Rösteralm and Sonnenalm. 🪗🪗🪗 Info: Arrival bus 960 Brückenhof: 10:20 several breaks (no problem) Departure bus 960 Ramsau: 17:25 Hiking poles are an advantage in snow and ice
