Just a stone's throw from home lies the De Groote Muijs nature reserve between Nieuw-Bergen and Well in Limburg. The nature reserve also includes Lake Reindersmeer, near which we started our walk today. We first walked along Lake Reindersmeer for a little over 2 km before taking a side road that led us towards the German border. Under the shady canopy, we walked for a while along the German/Dutch border before turning back towards Lake Reindersmeer. There, we crossed the lake by ferry and continued on to the information center. And then it was time for a delicious cup of coffee 😃 After finishing our coffee, we began the second loop, which skirted the busier Leukermeer lake. The walk was approximately 90% unpaved.
