This route was planned by komoot.
For unknown reasons, Komoot is constantly trying to translate my original Luxembourgish comment into German... Orange alert, heatwave. That was the weather report for Saturday (28/06/2025). The early 🦜 bird? Blue sky🌞, in time I made my way towards Kaalber. Clouds hang over Mersch. Behind the Fridhaff there is still a blanket of fog over the valleys to the right and left. It can get sunny. Parking in Kaalber near the church (Ste Apolline). The fog has lifted. A short stretch along the main road, then a dirt path into the valley. Flowers that are rarely seen otherwise. A piece of hemp. The word "personal needs" pops into my head. Through the forest we now go slowly but surely downhill towards Our. A brief opportunity to wander: signage is slightly hidden behind leaves. Load the Our in the shade over a small path to the Kaalber Millen. Party-crashing. I'm joining a guided tour of the mussel breeding station. Absolutely interesting. Link in the comment. Continue to Täntesmillen. They had a big party there on Friday 🥳🎉🥂🍾. A sip 🍺 to quench your thirst. Now what could have happened was: ⛰ Climb the mountain. The Kéilslee viewpoint is a bit outside the official route, but the climb is worth it. From here I also took a slightly different route (red on the map), because I didn't want to go down the stairs again. So less distance in total, but a little more altitude. Now unfortunately also on macadam. In the village there was another detour to the chapel. There I also read about the sad 😢😢 events of September 22, 1944: 7 men were shot (link in the comment) Conclusion: ⭐👍 Great path in nature, sturdy 🥾 shoes required, nothing for carriages or similar vehicles. Kaalber (church) is at 483 m, Our (Tëntesmillen) at 303 m, one man warned 🤡 is worth two. https://www.wort.lu/politik/willkuerlicher-mord/1021202.html https://www.hellefnatur.lu/de/product/projet-----station-delevage-de-moules
