Gravel riding
This almost 40-kilometer-long gravel tour connects Merano with Bolzano. You pedal across the enchanting Tschögglberg plateau into the idyllic landscape of South Tyrol. On your way you pass the Salten. The southern part of the Tschöggelberg between Bolzano and Merano is Europe's highest larch plateau.
You start your tour directly at the train station in Merano, cross the Passer and roll along the Etsch towards the plateau. After eleven kilometers, the Vöran cable car takes you down a few meters in altitude and takes you up to the mountain station.
You now ride through the extensive Tammerlemoos nature reserve on beautiful gravel paths through the larch forests on the Salten. Countless paths invite you to explore the area before you set off for Bolzano. Finally, in the diverse city there are great highlights and places to stop for a rest.
