On the way there, you hike along streams and lakes for almost nine kilometers into the valley and steadily uphill to the cairns. There are not ten, not twenty, but an entire colony that has been built over the years. During your rest, you can marvel at the many small towers and get to work yourself to help the group grow.
You then hike back to the starting point at the Oberalppass train station on the same path you came. You can also take a break at the Maighelshütte and enjoy the view with coffee and cake.
