A nice sunny round today to kick off the many calories from the good food on Christmas Eve 🤭 The route ran mostly on bike paths and side streets with little traffic. The Alps were also clearly visible today 😍 Towards the end, I got a tit-for-tat for making fun of the town of Hundham. If I hadn't photographed the town sign, the tire wouldn't have been full of dog poop 🙄🤮 (so there are a lot of dogs in Hundham 😅) Washing in the puddle only partially helped, because 💩 was still stuck in the profile, which was thrown onto my backpack as I continued cycling 😵😖 Small sins are immediately punished ☝️😆
Theme tour: tramping route Mühldorf am Inn Mößling Rohrbach Niedertaufkirchen Neumarkt - Sankt Veit Egglkofen Lohkirchen Zangberg MettenheimMühldorf was once an important trading town on the Inn and for a long time a Salzburg exclave in the Bavarian Duchy: The town can look back on an eventful history, from which numerous sights such as the 500 meter long town square in the Inn-Salzach style, the "Hexenkammerl" and the Nagelschmiedturm. The tramping route leads from here via Niedertaufkirchen to the Rottstadt Neumarkt-Sankt Veit: Original park benches from half the world invite you to take a break there in the park. From Egglkofen we head back south: The "Lohkirchen Madonna" in the parish church is of art-historical interest: instead of the usual apple, the child Jesus is holding a pear in his hand. An extremely rare depiction. TIP: The school museum with historical classroom in Neumarkt-Sankt Veit.
Second stage of a trackless bike tour through the north of the Inn-Salzach region: From Zangberg you start on the "pedal route" heading north. After Atzging, a detour leads to Oberbergkirchen and the GPS walking tour "The search for the lost ancient rhinoceros". The organic beekeeping and sheep farm Misthilger is nearby. In Schönberg you can visit the lush garden of garden farmer Rita Dirnberger by prior arrangement. The route now continues through the Inn hills until just before Egglkofen, where the Steinerne Brünnl is a real place of power. The town of Neumarkt-Sankt Veit is like an architectural puzzle with its numerous historical buildings from different eras. On the way south again, you can turn off towards Niederbergkirchen to the Hennetsberg adventure farm by prior arrangement. At Neuhäusl you take a break to visit the "Lieblingsei&Allerlei" house at the Pauliwirt. If you want to end your day here, you can eat and spend the night there. If you still have energy, you can take a detour to Mühldorf. On the way you will find Mühldorf's largest organic shop, Feinsinn by Byodo. On the town square in Mühldorf, the clothing store "Dear Goods" only offers fashion from organic and fair trade collections. The MiLaMü organic shop, a world shop and the Max Hase coffee roastery are also located on the square. If you can make it a little further or skip the detour: from Neuhäusl the route leads via Erharting to Engfurt. There is a small Klausen church there. On the upper floor there is an old hermitage where you can easily spend the night.
Started at 9:30 a.m. in Mettenheim at 23°. Sunny, The tramping track is always up and down, which is typical for the area. Typical agricultural landscape, little grassland. At 1:30 p.m. back in Mettenheim. Then by car to the Green Lagoon in Ampfing, near the airport.
