This route was planned by komoot.
Today's stage itself was rather unspectacular – lots of road, little variety. The accommodation made up for this all the more: a modern, almost four-star room, with a panoramic window and every comfort. And all this at a price for which, on the Swiss section of the pilgrim's route, I would have only gotten a bed in a shared room. The hot day and the pleasantly cool room were a perfect combination – so I treated myself to a long chill-out break in the afternoon. Wonderful! In the evening, I took a walk to a small lake. It was a strange place: high-voltage power lines above me, dogs barking from a nearby farm, and my hostess advised me against swimming anyway – understandably. The day ended with a real highlight: a fantastic dinner with a panoramic view of the Alps slowly disappearing into the haze. A moment that was worth all the effort of the day.
