This tour seems almost easy at first – but appearances can be deceptive. A total of 1,120 meters of elevation gain are to be conquered on this tour. However, it's technically quite relaxed, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful mountain scenery.

Because of the heat to be expected and the inclines, we drove the round in the opposite direction. Actually the better and more beautiful choice of route. Although also in this direction the climbs can cost the last grains at the end.
Promising circular course over partly leisurely, partly steeper forest paths. For freaks, there are always short pump trails along the route on the Wagrain side. A stop at the Schüttalm with a wonderful view, good (organic) food and e-bike charging station is highly recommended (we didn't see a charging station at the Frauenalm). On hot days, the Winkelsee in Flachauwinkel offers a welcome refreshment after the descent into the valley. You should not shy away from climbing again from the Moardörfl to the Edelweiß-Alm, you will be rewarded with a wide view of the Wagrain valley and a large part of the ski area up to the Gastein mountains...and a wheat beer/spritz/etc. on the terrace of the Hotel Edelweiß ... If you still need a kick, you can take the trail to the Flying valley station with really steep (up to 32%) passages instead of the tar road from the Flying middle station to the village.
Especially the 15km downhill from the Schüttalm make up for the altitude ... 😁
A great tour. You have to do it. At the beginning, as you should, uphill to the highest point and when you think you've done it, Cindy discovers two more peaks, which are not necessarily part of the tour, but add a few additional meters of altitude. So she was calmed down again for yesterday's hike. A dream day with summer temperatures and blue skies. Many greetings C&A😁

This is a very nice tour. Unfortunately, at the end of the descent there is a short piece of tarmac with some very deep potholes. These should definitely be repaired or at least a warning sign should be put up. Unfortunately, my wife caught it
