The circular hike to Capanna Monte Bar begins in Albumo di Corticiasca. From here you first hike through the forest and then across alpine meadows to Alpe Musgatina. From there you continue to climb. There are no more trees around you and you have a clear view. The panorama of the Alps is breathtaking. The view of Lugano and Lake Lugano is also fantastic.
Once you reach the top of Capanna Monte Bar, you have earned a long break. Here too, the view is unique. You can enjoy it from the large terrace and fortify yourself with a delicious meal. Full and with new energy, you then start the descent. This takes you on an alternative route, east of the ascent, across meadows and later through picturesque forest back to Albumo di Corticiasca.

A beautiful autumn day with very pleasant temperatures invited us to explore Monte Bar, starting from Corticiasca. Another plus point was that the inviting Capanna Monte Bar with its great terrace was still open. The climb was steep, but the magnificent view along the whole way made the effort forgotten. From the highest point there was a panoramic view like I have rarely seen before, the Bernese and Valais Alps appeared majestically. It was impressive.
