Weinstein Tour

A very strenuous tour. Still doable with an eMTB. But without support, hats off! The route deviates from the signage in places.

If you're looking for a real challenge, I recommend this tour. Difficult terrain, on most of the paths there were large boulders hidden under the thick layer of leaves, some climbs and descents that were extremely steep - it was beautiful, but really strenuous and technically difficult, especially the downhill sections demanded everything from us. From Mühldorf it goes slightly downhill and then really steep uphill. In principle, there are 5 climbs to be mastered, for which we were rewarded with great descents. With the 500 battery I made it to the ascent of the Jauerling. Recharging the battery is almost impossible, as no towns with open inns were passed through. A very exhausting tour, but on which we were rewarded with great descents and valley views. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A truly beautiful ride on the "Weinstein Tour" mountain bike trail in Mühldorf. We were lucky with the weather today. It was a cool 11°C to start with, and it didn't get any warmer later on. So we warmed up on the climbs 😏. Beautiful scenery and fantastic descents. Joining us were Herbert H, Herbert W, Franz, Ernst, Felix, and me.

Never experienced it so washed out and the tree barricades from the recent storms were an additional challenge.

Today we drove the well-known MTB route "Weinsteintour" around Mühldorf in der Wachau. Great weather with up to 34° and no wind made the tour a great experience. The route is partly technically demanding. Especially the descents with the many stones and roots require mastery of the bike. A highlight was the rest at the top of the Jauerling in the nature park inn with perfect cuisine and service. There is a fantastic vision 🏞 into that World Heritage Wachau and Danube Valley. At the end we were able to take a shower at the bike washing area behind the RAIKA Mühldorf 🚿 and head home refreshed. It was great. 🤩🤩🤩

After a long time we drove the Weinstein tour again and was surprised that it was reasonably dry after most of the trips this year were wet, dirty and freezing cold

A super nice tour with everything a biker could wish for: long, steep climbs, beautiful single trails that are easy to ride and beautiful views. The tour is well signposted and easy to find even without a navigation system. Many thanks to the many hands that maintain the route and the signage.
