Zeilitzheim – wine Tour

The 15-kilometer-long wine cult tour combines cultural highlights, picturesque landscapes and the fascination of Franconian winemaking. The starting point is the Zeilitzheim market square, surrounded by lovingly restored houses and the impressive baroque Zeilitzheim castle. The path initially leads along the babbling Volkach and past idyllic fish ponds up to the vineyard hut. There you can expect a wonderful panorama and an informative grape variety trail that offers exciting insights into local wines.

You walk through vineyards and fields to Gaibach, where you reach the historic Kreuzkapelle and the imposing Constitution Column, a monument to the first Bavarian constitution of 1818. A cozy rest area with a fantastic view invites you to take a break here. From there the path leads to Stammheim, past the largest Bocksbeutel in the world, with a spectacular view of the Main valley. In Stammheim's historic town center you will come across the pond with the picturesque town hall and the Museum of Contemporary History.

After a detour through a small forest, you climb up to the Marienkapelle near Lindach, which rewards you with one of the most beautiful views over the Main Valley. Lindach itself, known as a "hidden paradise", attracts visitors with artists' studios and its fruit and asparagus plantations. The tour ends in the center of Lindach, from where you can take the bus back to the starting point.
