We really wanted to spend an evening in Rothenburg o.d. spend deaf. This weekend is the day 🥰. After our arrival today we cycled the blue wing of the wheel butterfly. A very idyllic round, sparsely populated. We really enjoyed the tour. And now let's enjoy this fantastic city...
Today we treated ourselves to a little tour around Rothenburg ob der Tauber. We had barely set off and already had our first slump 😉 The tour was based on the "blue 🦋 circular route" We cycled up to Colmberg Castle briefly to enjoy the view. At the end there was a delicious homemade sausage salad, the little Streuseltaler dessert made the tour complete 😋
A wonderful circular tour, highly recommended. Very well marked, alternating between side roads, paved paths, and easy-to-ride gravel roads. Be sure to stop at the café in Colmberg. Unfortunately, the elevation gain is incorrect again; it was probably around 790 meters 😉
The blue cycling butterfly is highly recommended in conjunction with the other recommended tours
Today we drove the first round of the Franconian Cycle Butterfly. The weather wasn't as sunny as the photo with the sunflower shows, rather shady. But we didn't have any rain and that's something. We started out towards Colmberg on quite good paths. You look in vain for a marketplace there, we had expected a little more. At least the castle offered a lot to see and a beautiful view. If you intend to stop at a pub or cafe, you should use every opportunity if you do not want to continue the tour into Rothenburg. The last restaurant open was the one at the Altmühlursprung in Hornau. A very varied round with a lot of nature for the senses, also for the nose. The GPS reports 71.5 kilometers and 709 meters in altitude.
Rothenburg is definitely worth a visit. This seems to be known in China too, as our Asian friends flock to the beautiful little town...☺️. The medieval city wall with its multitude of towers and gates is still completely intact and very impressive. The many old half-timbered houses in the old town center are really beautiful. You can sit, enjoy and observe on the market square...😉. Today, however, we first explored the surrounding area by bike. We liked that too. As soon as you leave the lively Rothenburg, it becomes quiet. The route leads through a very rural and sparsely populated region with many small villages. It is easy to cycle on well-developed cycle paths. The 590 meters of elevation are spread over the entire route so that you hardly notice them. You don't have to worry about food either. There are always enough places to stop for a bite to eat. You can then end the day in beautiful Rothenburg. After a heavy but short thunderstorm, we were greeted by great weather. We enjoyed the trip. 🥰
🎶 .... Now the staff and habit of the traveling scholars is enough for me .... 🎶 The third wing took me to Colmberg today, where a town festival was just taking place. From there it always followed the course of the Altmühl up to Hornau, where (controversially) the origin of the Altmühl is at Hornauer Weiher. Here I finally enjoyed the "Franconian Schäufala". Very powerful, but it just had to be. From there it went quickly to Rothenburg o.T. down. I only touched Rothenburg and then followed the Tauber uphill and then turned to the quarters in Diebach. The headwind was my constant companion. Beautiful weather!
