Today it was the robber route again. The Vechta district has now re-signposted most of the hiking trails. The long-distance hiking trails such as the Via Baltica, which leads from Steinfeld via Damme to Vörden, also benefit from this. Unfortunately, some idyllic sections have become more like harvester highways due to forestry use. Hopefully nature will recover quickly here.
The robber route is based on the legend "The robbers from Mordkuhlenberg". Is a nice little hike with a few interesting corners like the lookout tower, the site of the big stone and the dolmens.
After a knee injury and surgery, today was my first little stress test. I'm happy to be back on the road.
